Numbers, Family, Colours, Days of the week, Months of the year and Phrases words translation into Yoruba are shown below in phone and tablets user interface. User can scroll from left to right access different categories within the app. Learn Yoruba is illustrative with different background colours to make learning Yoruba language fun and captivating for young or older user. The key features of the app are the audio and picture images. The audio recording will enable users to learn the proper pronunciation of each list items.
Images for family member has 12 pictures with Yoruba word at the top and English word below. Numbers has ten images with numbered (1 10). Colour list comes seven different shade of colours (White, black, Brown, Yellow, Grey, Red and Green) with colour images to match with their audio pronunciation in Yoruba. Days of the week (Monday -Sunday) and months of the year (January - December) has a total of 17 audio play backs for each particular word in Yoruba. Phrases has both short and longer words , for example ekasan in Yoruba meaning Good afternoon. What is is your name translated in Yoruba is Ki lo oruko e. Learn Yoruba app phone version can be displayed in portrait and landscape orientation. The app also comes in two tablet sizes to accommodate users with varying needs. I wish there was more to learn, it is primitive as someone described. Also, it saddens me that the characters don't resemble Nigerians, they look Hispanic or Native American and the voices DO NOT have authentic accents. You'll be embarrassed traveling around Nigeria sounding like whoever is TRYING to speak Yoruba on this app. This program needs alot of work.
